Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care is Hiring a Behavioral Health Individual Resiliency Trainer (IRT) Near Des Moines, WA

SIGNING BONUS $3000/Fully Licensed $5000

This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about mental health and want to make a difference in the lives of people experiencing their first episode of psychosis.

As an individual resiliency trainer, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides therapy and support to young adults experiencing their first episode of psychosis. You will use your skills and knowledge to help clients develop coping mechanisms, build resilience, and achieve their goals. These evidence-based early interventions have been proven to decrease the life-long participation of mental health services for participating individuals. This role receives monthly training and ongoing education.

In this role you will:

  • Provide individual therapy to clients.
  • Have a maximum team caseload of 30 clients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other professionals.
  • Offer evidence-based, trauma-informed and culturally competent therapeutic interventions.
  • Meet clients in the office, the community and via telehealth options.
  • Connect with the New Journeys network to further learning, engage in consults and improve treatment based on the most current research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health (marriage and family therapist, mental health counseling, social work, etc.).
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Current automotive insurance.
  • Ability to transport clients.
  • Ability to work independently.
