RN Per Diem Critical Care - Emergency Department

JOB SUMMARY: This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems, and is expected to deliver competent patient care to a full patient assignment. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's polices.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 6 months nursing experience and mastery of RN I performance standards and accompanying competencies required
• Experience in pediatrics, Emergency and/or hospital inpatient setting a plus
• Bilingual skills desirable

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIFICATIONS:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program, Bachelor’s in Nursing strongly preferred
• Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
• HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months of hire or transfer into position
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) within 36 months of hire or transfer into position
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 36 months of hire or transfer into position

POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem, must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per 2-week pay period, shifts may vary
PAY RANGE: $48.13 - $77.60
