Role Overview

We are seeking a backend software engineer to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting on the design and maintenance of the backend systems that power our products. You will work closely with the lead backend engineer and frontend engineering team to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

We employ a strong, domain-driven design approach to building our product. You will learn extensively about the world of metals recycling and will support on domain-driven decisions to deliver value to our customers.

You will have the opportunity to work on greenfield projects as well as improve and optimize existing systems. As we continue to grow, you will be able to contribute to the architectural decisions and support on the scalability and reliability of our product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing backend systems and APIs
• Working closely with Lead Backend Software Engineer
• Collaborating with frontend and data engineering teams to integrate systems
• Supporting on core data models and algorithms
• Participating in code reviews and providing feedback

• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience developing APIs
• Strong interest to learn about and contribute to the metals recovery domain
• Degree in computer science or similar discipline

• Experience with C#, Java, or similar language
• Experience working in the .NET ecosystem (e.g. Entity Framework Core, .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#)
• Experience designing RESTful APIs
• Experience with SQL and database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL)
