DRIVER- Golf Cart Operators needed in Rochester, NY

The primary role of this position is that of a Golf Cart Driver/Ambassador. The position involves shutting passengers from a parking structure to medical appointments. This is a temporary (4-6 month) project, but VPA has other roles in the area including Valet Parking and Parking Management positions that we will attempt to transition staff into at the conclusion of the project.

We are seeking both full and part time staff. Operating hours will be Mon, Wed, Friday – 7:30am to 5:30pm • Tuesday and Thursday – 7:30am to 9:30pm • Saturday (two per month) – 8:30am to 2:30pm. We will work with a variety of schedules to accommodate staffing these roles accordingly.

This is a Customer service position. The ideal candidate must have a great sense of empathy, and professional communication is a must.

Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather while sitting.

Full-time help is eligible for Health/Dental insurance available after 90 days (50/50 split), and paid vacation after one year. Room for advancement!

Must be over 18, customer service experience is a must! Background checks and driving tests will be conducted.

The position requires a valid license in good standing, with the applicant's MVR meeting the acceptable criteria for our driver criteria.

Job Description

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
• Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
• Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
• Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
• Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
• Recording passenger counts and trip times
• Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
• Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)
• Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
• Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
• Complying with company procedures
