Join Atlas Copco as a Service Center Technician where you will evaluate and repair vacuum pumps and manage the daily operations of the service center. As part of the Service Team you will report to the Regional Operations Manager and work collaboratively with Engineering, Sales and Service on-site in Michigan City, IN.

• You will diagnose, service, and repair industrial vacuum pump and system models, as well as electric motors, controls, and other mechanical equipment.
• You will create and update service center process scope documents.
• You will assist in preparation of estimates, quotes, and service reports.
• You will document, organize, and track work orders and forms to ensure timely repairs and overhauls.
• You will perform in-house repairs of vacuum pumps and systems.
• You will occasionally perform on-site repairs for vacuum pump systems, potentially involving up to 20% local/overnight travel.
• You will supervise service area staff.
• You will schedule in-house service and repair work for prompt diagnosis and resolution
• You will maintain high-quality repairs and address any issues promptly.
• You will implement safety policies and 6-S programs.
• You will Directly engage with customers on services, estimates, and preventative maintenance
• You will collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and other departments.
• You will manage warranty claims for customers and suppliers.
• You will maintain parts and supplies inventory.

To Succeed you will Need

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree a plus
• Technical certifications related to this field a plus
• Strong technical background with 2 -3 years technical service or experience servicing industrial vacuum pumps / compressors.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization including customers, vendors, co-workers and managers
• Attention to detail and provide quality customer service
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and site specific software knowledge
• Forklift certification and valid driver’s license will be required
