Job Title: TMS Optimization Specialist and Project Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TMS Optimization Specialist and Project Manager to lead our efforts in enhancing our transportation management processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of TMS systems, particularly within the waste hauling industry, and possess strong project management skills to oversee the entire optimization process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assessment of Current TMS System:

• Conduct a thorough evaluation of our current TMS system (Qv21), identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points related to the TMS system.

1. Optimization of TMS Utilization:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize our utilization of the current TMS system.
• Identify and recommend process improvements and workarounds to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

1. Project Management:

• Lead the entire optimization process, from assessment to implementation, acting as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan, ensuring milestones are met and resources are allocated effectively.
• Provide regular updates to senior management, including the CFO, on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

1. Integration with NetSuite:

• Collaborate with IT and ERP teams to ensure seamless integration between the TMS system and NetSuite ERP.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any integration issues to maintain data integrity and accuracy.

1. Evaluation and Selection of New TMS Solution (if necessary):

• If the current TMS system cannot be optimized to meet our needs, lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of a new TMS solution.
• Conduct thorough vendor assessments, including demos and RFP processes, to identify the best-fit solution for our organization.
• Oversee the migration process from the legacy system to the new one, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred.
• Proven experience (5 years) in transportation management, with a focus on TMS systems, preferably within the waste hauling industry.
• Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Experience with TMS optimization, process improvement, and change management initiatives.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, and experience with system integrations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
