Vacation Rental Assistance (VRA) is actively hiring a building operations / maintenance technician. We are looking for a seasoned tradesman who can hit the ground running, operating independently and producing exceptional results with a multitude of tasks and skilled maintenance / repair duties. You may have the ability and experience to supervise a team of subordinates, though this people management ability is not necessary.

You have considerable experience (5-15years ) in building trades and at least a basic foundation of understanding in electrical, plumbing, framing, flooring, painting, and carpentry. You may be a licensed contractor, or able to get such licensing, and could oversee partial, or complete remodels with your own skill abilities and/or working with others to fill in the gap of your abilities. You are as self starter; able to communicate well with your team and our customers, and operate in a professional environment managing your time well.

JOB DUTIES 

Perform various maintenance duties in a reactive and preventative capacity, using VRA tools as well as our own, including: 

• Help develop and execute routine maintenance assessments and seasonal maintenance tasks
• Minor electrical and plumbing 
• Minor remodeling 
• Installing fixtures
• Furniture repairs and fixes 
• Touch up / entire room painting
• Drywall work / texturing 
• Minor landscaping, hot tub pads, and similar
• Appliance troubleshooting
• Track time, write quality reports, and communicate well with team and clients

Certifications / licensing not required, but a bonus. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Lifting 50lbs over head
• Standing for long periods of time
• Use of ladder
• Valid drivers license
• Maintenance / handy experience
