Experience performing/overseeing the maintenance, operations, and/or logistics of motor vehicle fleets.
Experience managing commercial property and/or overseeing construction/buildout of office space.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING ...
Plan and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs, remodeling, build-outs, or construction projects for the TCEQ regional office spaces. Assist in developing specifications, evaluating bids, and managing service contracts. Plan, initiate and manage purchases of furniture, equipment, and supplies within the budget and meeting procurement deadlines.
Complete required budget planning, transactions, and record keeping using Microsoft 365. Represent the Region in negotiations with contractors and monitors contractor performance. Coordinate with the TCEQ Central Office, Texas Facilities Commission (TFC), and local property management to identify, report, and resolve facility issues.
Oversee the daily operation of the Region's fleet of vehicles and boats; assure proper maintenance and repair, and maintains the Texas Fleet System database. Reconcile the monthly fuel, repair, maintenance receipts, and invoices with the vehicle budget. Monitor the expenditure of funds.
Coordinate the surplus of vehicles to be replaced and the acquisition of new vehicles. Facilitate vehicle accident reporting and repairs. Implement and train staff on fleet policies and procedures.
Qualifications: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, plus four years of full-time experience in fleet management; maintenance and property management; or inventory and asset management. *One year of full-time experience related to examples of work performed may substitute for 30 semester hours of the required education .
