Position Description

Overall Responsibilities:

The position requires the ability to assist with processing claims along with performing administrative and customer service support for the Tech Services team. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Loading claim revisions and review for accuracy and completeness
  • Support and track AWI QCP project licensing
  • Complete weekly gainshare reporting for CSC and Production teams
  • Report backorder freight claims
  • Track, report, and follow up with Production of backordered accessories
  • Submit and track of LTL claims with freight carriers
  • Train to provide technical assistance, claim resolution, field repair coordination, payment processing, and SOP development/maintenance support to the team for future advancement into Claims Specialist position
  • Assist Claims Specialist team members with production, shipping, and warranty claims investigation, including coordinating remakes
  • Maintain excellent communication with production, customer service, and distributor customers
  • Provide customer support by providing product and technical information
  • Gain understanding of VT product offering, construction, labeling, and hardware requirements
  • Provide website support by directing internal and external customers to the location of technical information
  • Send customers product update information
  • Provide CDN accounting support by processing payment or credit
  • Support 5S / Lead program by keeping work area organized; participate in team meetings
  • Type letters and other correspondence as required
  • Observe all safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Work individually or with team members as assigned, maintaining a positive work environment
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager and subject to change with experience and department tenure

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Customer service and math skills
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve a high level of performance without immediate supervision
  • Eager and willing to gain knowledge of door products and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Able to work quickly and multi-task while adhering to tight deadlines for multiple projects
  • Able to work 8 to 10 hours daily as required, 5 days per week
  • All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards as well as to adhere to the Attendance Policy of VT Industries.

Physical Requirements

Tolerance for sitting long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional light lifting (25 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple facilities as required to perform core job duties.
