Position : Material Handler
Duration : 12 months (Possible toextend)
Pay Rate : $20 / hron W2
Location : Germantown MD 20874
Shift : MF day
Youll provide shipping receiving storageand order fulfillment services for clinical sites andlaboratories.
Pick pack sortarrange count store and accurately process items for storage and / orshipment in accordance with established procedures and customerrequirements.
Sustain a high level of quality to ensurecustomers receive accurate product and in the timerequested.
Assist in receiving biological specimenschemical compounds clinical agents and / or Investigationalproducts.
Verify the quality type and quantity ofmaterials received are accurate and that the appropriatedocumentation is present (e.g. packing list).
Weigh drychemical compounds
Aliquot liquid biological samples orproducts.
Perform general documentation management (iegenerate review archive or destroy).
Work in a warehouseenvironment under various temperatures ranging from ambient to 196C.
Assures compliance to cGMP parts 210 and 211 andcompany quality systems.
Follows standard operatingprocedures (SOPs) facility safety guidelines and Food & DrugAdministration (FDA) requirements which may include compliance withcGMP CFR parts 210 and 211 where applicable.
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certificates and / or Licenses :
Certified Pharmacy Techpreferred
Experience :
Proven trackrecord to consistently and independently follow policies andprocedures instructions and to meet schedules required.
Need basic digital literacy to navigate inventory systems MicrosoftOffice and shipping software in order to support the operation inits daily functions.
Proven ability to communicateeffectively verbally and in written form.
Preferknowledge of Universal Precautions general laboratory and qualityassurance / control.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
Good social skills and customer service skills required.
Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice isrequired.
Must be ready to start work timely daily andmaintain strong attendance performance.
Ability tofollow general instruction on routine work and detailed instructionon new projects to complete assigned tasks.
Accuracy is required inperforming all functions of this position; errors in work couldcause delays in schedules.
WorkingConditions :
Cold environmentsranging from ambient to 196 C with exposure to dry ice liquidnitrogen cryogenics hazardous and infectious agents marked changesin temperature.
Perform work of a highly repetitivenature.
Will walk stand reach and lift up to 50lbs on acontinuous basis.
Routinely push and pull up to50lbs.
May occasionally sit kneel crouch andcrawl.
Due to business needs must be flexible to workvarying schedules hours and overtime as needed. Travel will berequired to Division sites between Rockville and Frederick (will betold in advance).
