Job Description
100% FTE, 12 hour shifts, 7:00pm-7:30am, with weekends. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at the Transplant Services Building in Madison, WI.

We are seeking an Organ Procurement Coordinator to:
  • Join a highly effective clinical team that rises to challenges, remains calm under pressure, and works together to support the mission to save lives.
  • Join an innovative critical care team and contribute to expertise in the medical management of organ donor patients of all ages.
  • Maximize organ utilization in organ donation applying advanced practice in critical care.
  • Respectfully and competently communicate, coordinate and collaborate with colleagues and donor service area partners.
  • Participate in quality improvement. Apply evidence-based advanced practice techniques and meet regulatory standards.

Education:
Minimum - Graduate of school of nursing or bachelor's degree in healthcare related field.
Preferred - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Work Experience:
Minimum - Six (6) months of clinical experience with surgical, critical care, emergency services or O.R. expertise.
Preferred - Critical care experience in pediatric, neurosurgery ICU, trauma or medical ICU, with leadership as charge nurse, or resource nurse and experience with caring for donor patients and families.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Wisconsin or may practice under a compact license per state regulations OR 3 years of relevant Organ Procurement Coordinator Agency work. BLS certification.
Preferred - Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC).
