Job Description
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, hybrid position, scheduled to work Monday through Friday with core hours between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, plus an afterhours/weekend on call rotation. When onsite, this position will work out of 1212 Deming Way in Middleton, WI. Occasional work may be required on some evenings and weekends for technical implementations.

We are seeking a motivated Applications Analyst - Epic Beaker AP/CP, Bloodbank who is a self-starter to:
  • Be involved in cutting-edge support of current applications as well as all new implementations that impact various clinical departments at UW Health.
  • Maintain and configure bloodbank (Wellsky), point of care (RALS), and other software.
  • Have a good understanding of technical infrastructure when applicable such as networking, data interfaces and server administration.
  • Lead in the development of workflows, system configuration, and support of operations on application functionality.
  • Use excellent communication skills to share information with users within the department and organization.

Education:
Minimum -
  • Associate degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree
Preferred -
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, Health Administration, Engineering, or related field
Work Experience:
Minimum -
  • Demonstrated success in design, development, configuration, support, and adoption of small to medium to scale solutions.
  • Demonstrated success applying critical thinking to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success teaching and mentoring
Preferred -
  • Demonstrated success using, configuring, developing, or supporting the applications, tools, and platforms relevant to the position.
  • Experience with bloodbank (Wellsky) and point of care (RALS) software
  • Three (3) to five (5) years progressively responsible experience in an IS applications field.
  • Demonstrated success working on or leading initiatives that use agile methods.
  • Experience in information services or technology, direct clinical care, health care operations, or health care administration.
  • Healthcare subject matter expertise including at least two (2) years of experience in a health system, academic medical center, or health payer organization.
  • Experience supporting systems and/or operations in a 24x7 healthcare setting
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - None
Preferred -
  • Vendor (e.g. Epic, Oracle, other) certifications as relevant for the position , per department guidelines
  • CPHIMS, PMP, ITIL
