JOB TITLE: 

Post Doctoral Research Associate

JOB PURPOSE:

This is a federal grant-funded, 100% research position. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

- Conduct research on the NIH-funded optogenetics/ protein engineering projects.

- Prepare research publications.

- Present research findings at scientific meetings.

- Guide graduate and undergraduate researchers.

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- A Doctoral Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Cell Biology.

- A total of three peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals.

- One first-author publication in an international scientific journal.

- Experience in protein biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology documented in peer-reviewed publications.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

- Five years of experience in protein biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology.

- Experience in guiding graduate or undergraduate researchers.
