JOB TITLE: 

Marketing Coordinator, Center for Student Involvement and Leadership (CSIL)

JOB PURPOSE: 

CSIL Marketing Coordinator will provide marketing and social media support to CSIL Offices, particularly 7220 Entertainment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with full-time and part-time staff to oversee the marketing and promotions of all CSIL programs and events 
  • Continue the development of a comprehensive branding and marketing plan for CSIL and 7220 Entertainment 
  • Develop an understanding of new technologies and their use for marketing and advertising 
  • Develop and manage social media / create and stay up to date on social media strategies 
  • Create video content and be an on-camera presence for video promotions. 
  • Write copy for social media posts and press releases sent out to the 
  • Update the CSIL website and monitor Google Analytics 
  • Coordinate with CSIL staff to implement marketing for all programs and events 
  • Attend occasional night and weekend events 
  • Take photographs and video of programs and events

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:  

Support CSIL departments with special projects as needed

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: 

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills 
  • Strong creative skills along with enthusiasm for social media and marketing 
  • Experience with various social media platforms and how they can be utilized to help achieve marketing goals 
  • Ability to be outgoing and engaging with students and department staff 
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format 
  • Work with others collaboratively 
  • Work on projects independently and follow through to completion 
  • Basic photography/video skills 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Good technical understanding and ability to pick up new tools quickly 
  • Demonstrate artistic and creative skills, while meeting continuous and demanding project deadlines
