JOB TITLE:
Cybersecurity Program Assistant
JOB PURPOSE:
Consult and train small business clients on cybersecurity best practices, including assisting clients with an inventory of their data and software assets and leading them to identify and meet cybersecurity goals.

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
The Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) was selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration and is working in partnership with the UW School of Computing to deliver a Cybersecurity for Small Businesses Pilot Program. The program will run through August 31, 2025. A component of our funding proposal included engagement of student interns to deliver services and programming elements. Although this job addresses cybersecurity, a robust technological background is not required. Selected candidates will receive thorough training on the cybersecurity issues this program addresses. Working directly with our small business clients is involved in this position, and the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of the businesses and services provided is essential. Important note: Given the nature of this program and the specified guidelines by our federal funding partner, foreign nationals from certain countries such as Iran, North Korea, and Sudan are not eligible for this employment opportunity.
