JOB DESCRIPTION:This physician position will serve as a Flight Surgeon at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), in support of the Human Health and Performance Contract with KBR. The flight surgeon will provide medical support to NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Medical Operations by providing medical expertise and knowledge for development of medical requirements, procedures, processes and supporting Mission Control Center-Houston (MCC-H) and/or operations in Star City, Russia. Additional responsibilities may include providing support to the International Space Station (ISS) and Commercial Crew Program (CCP) operations, requirement development/integration and future operation of the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) Program, Human Landing System (HLS) Program, Gateway Program, Extravehicular Activity (EVA) and Human Surface Mobility (HSM) Program (EHP), supporting the JSC Flight Medicine Clinic, as well as other tasks/projects assigned in support of Medical Operations.
