Thermo King West is one of North America’s largest and most respected dealerships in the critical transport refrigeration space. The Wiring Technician involves a critical stage of operation in our Utility Crane & Equipment company, as we build trucks from the chassis, adding the body and aerial or other accessories, and customize the truck to our customers' specifications. The electrical wiring and placement of hydraulic lines is accomplished by the Wiring Technician.
Wiring Technician, Apprentice
- Installation of PTO and pump
- Installation of hydraulic plumbing
- Installation of accessories
- Wire stop/tail/turn/backup lighting
- Wire emergency and work lighting
- Wire aerial, crane, or other unit
- Interface with chassis
- Advancement is from Apprentice to Journeyman to Expert with moves possible to Service or other areas
- Levels of experience and productivity allow advancement
Required Skills
- Mechanic and electric competency
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Must be a strong team player, highly motivated, and eager to learn
- Must be detail-oriented
- Reliable transportation to be available for work in timely manner
