Job Description:
To support our growth, we are seeking Utility Field Technicians in Georgia. In this role, Utility Field Technicians remove load/power control devices from the outside of customer's homes as part of a Utility Field Services program. Additionally, Utility Field Technicians educate customers on the process, and ensure the safety of themselves and the customers.
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet and interact with customers in a polite, positive and professional manner
· Communicate clearly with customers, including leaving behind any necessary marketing or communication collateral with the customer
· Exhibit professional appearance by wearing company issued uniform
· Arrive on time for customer installation and/or consultation
· Safely and efficiently remove authorized equipment from the customer’s HVAC system (outdoor) and ensure HVAC equipment is in working order prior to leaving
· Answer questions accurately and be thorough when explaining and providing detailed product and/or operational instructions to customers
· Lift up to 25 lbs. of equipment, materials or supplies at one time and carry from one job site to another
· Walk up one or two flights of stairs at job site
· Work independently and without supervision at job site
· Be aware of job site hazards and work safely and responsibly to avoid any injuries, damage to property and loss of equipment, materials and supplies at job site
· Remove and throw away any boxes, packaging, etc. at each job site and ensure work area is cleaned after customer installation
· Accurately complete necessary paperwork, including but not limited to; program enrollment, device deactivation/disposal etc..
· Regular maintenance and inventory checks of products, equipment, materials and supplies as applicable
Minimum Skills/Requirements:
· 1 year experience in any of the following categories or roles: cable/internet installation, fiber optics, home electrical, heating, cooling, and ventilation (HVAC), home alarm installations, automotive wiring and service, residential building trades or other equivalent experience
· High School graduate or equivalent (GED, Technical Diploma, Certificate of Completion, etc.)
· Proficient in English (speaking and writing); SPANISH Preferred (Bilingual)
· Possess a valid and current state driver’s license with clean driving record and dependable mode of transportation (personal vehicle)
· Pass a criminal history and drug screen background check
· Excellent written and oral communications skills
· Ability to use tablet-based technology
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Driver's License and Proof of Auto Insurance (Required)
