Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clerical assistance to the organization's accounting team. Some responsibilities will include more general administrative office duties such as scanning, electronic filing, and creating word documents or simple excel documents. Other responsibilities will include performing basic accounting functions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Preparing deposits for the bank
• Processing payments
• Recording cash receipts, often working with multiple project accountants/billing specialists
• Prepare Credit applications
• Process accounts payable
• Maintaining financial databases and spreadsheets
• Perform data entry
• Scanning documents and filing in the electronic filing system
• Receiving Purchase orders from customers and following up with project managers for approval

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficient in computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office applications
• Strong typing skills
• Experience with office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and scanner
• Basic mathematical skills
• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
