Product Designer (UX/UI)

Position Location: Chicago HQ 

About the Role:

We are in search of a talented and innovative UX Product Designer to join our dynamic agile development team. In this role, you'll have the chance to apply your expertise to shape a robust financial modeling platform within a collaborative team environment. If you excel in designing sophisticated data modeling interfaces and are deeply passionate about crafting interactive, user-centric applications, this opportunity is tailor-made for you. Your core responsibilities encompass the design and assessment of user experiences for our continually evolving suite of advanced data & logical financial modeling products, ensuring they maintain high standards for functionality, simplicity, and intuitive appeal. Total compensation is $135,000 - $195,000 DOE. US Citizen or Permanent Work Authorization (Green Card) required.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and workshops to understand the needs and behaviors of our user communities.
• Collaborate with our software development team and product managers to integrate design and functionality seamlessly.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for the software interface.
• Ensure the design aligns with modern usability standards, efficiency, and aesthetic appeal while catering to intricate data & logical modeling needs.
• Conduct usability testing to gather insights and identify areas for enhancement and simplification.
• Participate actively in agile development processes, adapting to continual changes and evolving requirements.
• Advocate for user-centric design principles and ensure a consistent user experience across the product.

 Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise in designing complex, user-intensive products where users engage with an advanced tool extensively throughout their workday. Examples might be software products enabling data science, engineering, architecting, or software development.
• Capable of designing sophisticated use cases towards a highly intuitive, unintimidating user experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
• Experience with user research, usability testing, and prototyping.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or equivalent
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
