We are seeking a scanning technician/scheduler to join our team.

Scanning Duties

• Receive glass microscope slides and assesses quality of slides for scanning.
• Operate the scanner used for slide scanning.
• Review the generated images for quality issues; processes re-scans as necessary.
• Maintain scanner including preventative maintenance visits, perform calibrations and work with support team for troubleshooting when necessary.
• Work cross-functionally with various departments including lab technicians, pathology technicians and Medical Providers.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and comply with safety requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with federal, state and local guidelines and regulations.

Receptionist Duties

• Checking in patients for medical appointments.
• Enter demographics and insurance information.
• Collecting co-pays and patient balances.
• Coordinate appointments through phone and text
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Scanning documents into the EMR system.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven attention to detail with effective organizational skills.

Physical Demands

• Must possess ability to sit, stand, and/or work at a computer for long periods of time.
• Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish fine detail. Ability to pass a visual color discrimination test may be required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
