Kids & Teen's University (KTU) is UTA's summer program for campers grades 1-12. We provide many different camps that are catered to meet the interests of every child. Our camps differ from your average summer camp as participants get to choose classes they would like to partake in. Each camp has a different theme that the campers will get to explore. We offer over 60 camps to choose from. Join us in helping create a memorable summer.

Role Description

This is a temporary on-site role for a Summer Camp Entrepreneurship Teacher. Every year Kid's & Teens University partners with the Arlington Chamber of Commerce to host a week long entrepreneurship camp titled, "What's Your Big Idea?" Each camper will be tasked with coming up with an original idea and learn how to make it come to life. The campers will create a product, run tests, and learn how to market their idea. The camps take place at the Center for Entrepreneurship & Economic Innovation on UTA's campus. The days are split by grade levels. In the morning, campers in grades 3-5 will attend, while in the afternoon campers who are in grades 6-8 will attend.

Dates:

The Entrepreneurship camp runs for 1 week only, from June 3rd- 7th.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an individual who has experience in business and can engage the campers in their daily activities. Entrepreneurship educators and business owners are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Strong classroom management skills
- Experience in teaching or tutoring
- Knowledge of business practices
-Knowledge on creating and/or marketing products
- Understanding of childhood development stages

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
