Pediatric Peritoneal Dialysis
Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team within the UT Southwestern inpatient nephrology service at Children's Health, Dallas to provide safe, quality care to medically complex and fragile patients, specifically those requiring peritoneal dialysis. This role is expected to help improve coordination of care for peritoneal dialysis patients who have multiple and complex comorbidities. This position will demonstrate a high degree of critical thinking and clinical expertise in working with pediatric patients in the inpatient setting. The APP is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, consultation, and health promotion and care coordination for patients and families.
Scheduled Hours: Mon - Fri

Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in a clinical environment. The incumbent may be exposed to body fluids and infectious diseases.
Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimums require prior approval of Vice President for Human Resources Administration or his/her designee.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
