Responsibilities

• Completes patient care tasks as directed by the Registered Nurse and assists in providing quality care to a patient population ranging from age newborn to geriatric.
• Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team and assists in ensuring that each patient receives care appropriate to his/her illness or injury.
• Assists the nursing staff in providing patient care consistent with physician’s orders, Departmental protocols, and in accordance with hospital and departmental policy.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion EMT-Paramedic certification
• EMT, Paramedic or LVN Licensure
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous hospital or health care setting experience preferred
• PALS certification preferred
