Job Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for providing a wide variety of moderately complex to complex technical lab support for a research facility.

Job Duties:

1. Assists in evaluating lab methods, procedures, and techniques based on established objectives.
2. Performs a variety of tests, using both routine and special techniques and methods.
3. Provides assistance in manipulating, computing, and analyzing data using complex statistical computer software.
4. Performs report writing, maintains records of expenditures and tracks chemical and supply inventory.
5. Assists in instructing a laboratory academic section in lab methods, procedures and safety.
6. Performs routine library work, including finding literature and copying articles.
7. Prepares stock solutions, chemical reagents, and commonly used samples.
8. Delivers clinic blood samples and tissues.
9. Perform molecular and cellular techniques: sample preparation and storage, ELISA, immunofluorescent staining, cell culture, PCR, gel electrophoresis 3 data analysis and documentation.
10. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education: 

High school diploma or GED is required; Associate's degree is preferred.

Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years of experience based on education level is required.

Preferred:

Experience working with DNA, RNA, cell culture, qRT-PCS, and single-cell RNA-seq and proteomics.
