- Specializes in charting physician-patient encounters in real time, such as during medical examinations and/or procedures.
- Performs basic documentation/communication skills, reporting patient conditions, circumstances, and maintaining equipment and unit cleanliness
- Responsible for performing functions as authorized under the direct supervision of various medical staff (MD, DO, APP, RN, LVN)
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate from a medical assisting program or medical transcripition experience
- CPR Certification
- Experience working as a medical scribe
- Experience charting in an EMR
- Medical Terminology (i.e. Anatomy and Physiology)
