USTA National Headquarters is Hiring an US OPEN Experiential Project Specialist, Seasonal Near New York, NY

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic Project Specialist/manager to join our US Open team for the duration from Mid May to the end of August. The Experiential Project Specialist will be responsible for managing on-site branding and design projects that range from large photo ops to interior build-outs in the stadium. They will work closely with the Director of Creative Services and Director of Marketing to manage and oversee multiple build outs for the 2024 US Open Tennis Championships. Able to work 20 -25 hours a week. 

  • Act as marketing and design liaison for multiple branding projects at the US Open
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Edit design files as needed
  • Help coordinate visits with vendors to obtain quotes and measurements
  • Prepare and submit project progress reports to clients, keeping them informed of project milestones and any challenges encountered.
  • Read shop drawings, make mark-ups, and provide clear instructions to vendors and contractors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Work with the NTC facilities team to manage on-Site installations leading up to the US Open

Qualifications:

  • Able to work at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, Queens, NY/Hybrid - 20 - 25 Hours a week
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in event management or branding projects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite as well as Google tools (Slides, Docs, sheets)
  • Experience in pre-press operations 
  • Knowledge of materials and fabrication styles to make informed decisions during the project execution phase.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to effectively communicate project requirements and updates to stakeholders.
  • Work independently and as a team player, contributing positively to the overall success of the project.
  • Be detail-oriented, dedicated, reliable, dynamic, and enthusiastic about delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude throughout the project.
  • Extremely detail oriented 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required during peak project periods.
  • Salary is $42/HR
  • June through end of August
