UST is Hiring an Architect I - Enterprise Solutions Near Washington, DC

Role Proficiency:

Independently analyze and develop applications and review and design solutions in their assigned area of responsibility on ERP/CRM systems. Manage and mentor a team

Outcomes:

  1. Act creatively to develop applications and select appropriate technical options. Optimize application development maintenance and performance by employing design patterns and by reusing proven solutions while accounting for others' developmental activities
  2. Develop technical documents such as Functional Design Specifications Deployment documentation
  3. Perform design document reviews peer code reviews and suggest code improvements
  4. A single point of contact for the build and deployment issues and resolve them on time
  5. Learn technology business domain system domain individually and as recommended by the project/account
  6. Contribute to ERP/CRM Practice related activities for example (but not limited to) assembling content for case studies contributing to reusability coordinating internal seminars and conduct knowledge sharing sessions organizing sessions during and participating in hackathons etc.
  7. Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.
  8. Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system
  9. Optimizes efficiency cost and quality.
  10. Interpret the application/feature/component design to develop the same in accordance with specifications.
  11. Code debug test and document and communicates product/component/feature development stages.
  12. Validate results with user representatives integrates and commissions the overall solution.
  13. Influence and improve customer satisfaction through things like (but not limited to) offering suggestions for code refactoring and for improvements in business processes completing sprint deliverables ahead of time helping client architects and product owners by way of design suggestions and/or explaining functionality to business stakeholders etc...
  14. Influence and improve employee engagement within the project teams
  15. Learn and implement technology newly released features after impact analysis wherever applicable.
  16. Attend industry/technology specific conferences (if applicable) and share the knowledge with the team.
  17. Conduct peer reviews and demand high quality standards from the reviewed deliverables.
  18. Conduct technical assessments for hiring candidates to developer/lead roles.
  19. Mentor and manage a team.
  20. Set goals for self and team in NorthStar. Provide timely feedback to team members

Measures of Outcomes:

  1. Number of applicable technical/domain certifications completed
  2. Adherence to process and standards (coding standards)
  3. Number of mandatory trainings (industry/technology specific trainings UST mandatory trainings) completed
  4. Average time taken for turnaround on production bugs Adherence to schedule / timelines
  5. Number of technical sessions conducted within Practice for the benefit of peers and team members.
  6. Contribution to RFPs and estimations in ERP/CRM Practice.
  7. Number of Leads who were guided and upskilled to lead a technical team.
  8. Number of process streamline documents prepared for ERP/CRM Practice

Requirement:

  1. Understand the requirements/user stories

Estimate:

  1. Create and provide inputs for effort and size estimation and plan resources for projects.
  2. Follow scrum ceremonies.

Configuration and Coding:

  1. Define coding standards
    templates and checklists. Perform code review of team members.

  1. Review and create unit test cases
    scenarios and execution.
  2. Review test plan created by testing team.
  3. Provide clarifications to the testing team.

Manage Defects:

  1. Perform defect RCA and mitigation.
  2. Identify defect trends and take proactive measures to improve quality.

Manage Project:

  1. Manage delivery of modules. Manage user stories.

  1. Create/review templates
    checklists
    guidelines
    standards for design/process/development.
  2. Create/review deliverable documents. Design documentation

    test cases and results.

Status Reporting:

  1. Report status of tasks assigned.
  2. Comply with project related reporting standards and process.

Manage knowledge:

  1. Contribute project related documents
    share point
    libraries

Release:

Interface with Customer:

  1. Clarify requirements and provide guidance to development team

  1. Advise software developers on design and development of feature / component with deeper understanding of the business problem being addressed for the client.

Manage/Mentoring Team:

  1. Set goals and provide regular feedback to team members.
  2. Understand aspirations of their team members and provide guidance

  1. Define Architecture for the small sized kind of project.
  2. Design the technical framework and implement the same.

  2. Ability to maintain technical evaluation procedures.
  3. Ability to estimate project effort based on the requirement.
  4. Perform and evaluate test results against product specifications.

You Are: As the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Delivery Solution Architect, you will be primarily responsible for implementing and driving compelling Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (ERP) - Supply Chain solutions while also acting as a functional subject-matter expert and trusted adviser for internal stakeholders and clients. As a Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Delivery Solution Architect, you must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (ERP) - Supply Chain and Microsoft Power Platform applications. You will be comfortable being onsite client-facing to understand client requirements, configure and execute tailored demonstrations, configure solutions to win and successfully deliver excellence. You will also be responsible for providing advisory, solution architecture and program management for key customer engagements. The Opportunity: Act as a trusted adviser and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (ERP) - Supply Chain SME to clients in an implementation project. Demonstrate a strong proficiency in Supply Chain Management (Product Information Management, Inventory Management, Warehouse management, Transportation Management and Manufacturing). Own the overall technical solution strategy, architecture, design, and oversight for enhancing and extending Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations in both implementation projects and support engagements. Oversees highly complex demonstrations (e.g., business value workshops, architectural design sessions, and proof of concept (POC) sessions, pilots) of end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations - Supply Chain. Ensures demonstrations enable customers to identify and solution with clear criteria and next steps. Manage the overall stage of a project, including the scope, timeline, budget, and resources. What you need: Experience in working at a client's site. Functional expertise including in-depth knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (ERP) Supply Chain application. At least 15 years IT industry total experience with minimum 5 years Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (ERP) Supply Chain application architecting/solutioning/configuration and full life-cycle implementation. Preferably retail and fresh food business experience. Proven track record of successful implementations projects Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills Strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, and effectively prioritize multiple tasks of varying complexities. Stakeholder Management and change management skills. Proven track record in business development. Bonus points if: Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (ERP) Solution Architect Expert and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations - Supply Chain intermediate product specific (Functional) certifications (highly preferred) Based out of Seattle, WA location.
