SurgCenter of Plano was established by clinical personal to offer safe, high-quality surgical care.Specialties include ENT, Ortho/ Total Joints, Sports medicine, podiatry, and pain management.The center is accredited by the Joint Commission, licensed by the state of Texas, and Medicare certified.

Position Responsibilities:

The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management and plastics surgery.

• Graduate of accredited school or professional nursing
• Three (1) years experience in surgery
• Current state RN License
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required
• CNOR preferred
• Critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room
• Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
