The Deposit Operations Specialist 1 is responsible for handling, monitoring, and researching all deposit and operations-related activities. Handle calls that range from simple balance inquiries to placing a stop payment on an account, checking new accounts, and auditing pending items and corporate and business account documents.
Required
- GED or High School Diploma
- Three years’ experience in Retail Banking
- Knowledge of Deposit Regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing as a team player
- A positive internal and external customer service outlook
- Self-motivated and willingness to assume new responsibilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
- Handle, monitor, and research all deposit and operations-related activities
- Complete testing and reporting for Reg CC and Reg D
- Review all new accounts and exception list
- Review maintenance performed by branch staff
- Complete reviews on Opt in, Stop Payment and CD negotiated rates
- Perform reconciliation on deposit general ledgers
- Responsible for reconciling Horizon Teller Cash
- Perform the Automatic Transfer returns
- Rectify the ACH warehouse exceptions
- Review mobile/ATM/RDC and HELOC deposits
- Responsible for branch compliance to policies and procedures and assist in writing such policies and procedures
- Responsible for fielding calls on Branch Policies and Procedures
- Responsible for branch authority level monitoring, approvals, and exception tracking
- Responsible for Retail Help Desk/Retail Service Portal
- Perform bank wide branch training as needed
- Work on projects and committees as needed
- Complies with regulatory rules and regulations, evidenced through successful completion of training and demonstrated ability.
- Performs other duties as appointed by management.
