The Installation Technician is responsible for installing ITrelated equipment in commercial, industrial, and office environments. This may consist of running and terminatingdata and voice cables, mounting and adjusting security cameras, door accesssystems, large displays, and associated technology. In addition, theinstallation technician will estimate the time and materials necessary tocomplete cabling or technology related projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

·Installation, termination, and testing of cablesfor voice, data, speakers, access control, cameras, and unified communicationsolutions ensuring a high-quality installation

·Installing wireless networking equipment

·Placing computers, monitors, printers, scanners,phones, and other equipment

·Installation of Windows operating system andinstallation of various software

·Assist off-site IT technicians in remote setupof systems

·Travel to customer sites in company providedvehicle throughout service territory

·Professional interactions with customer personneldeveloping relationships and demonstrating systems; providing training asneeded

·Perform client walk-through on customer sites todocument existing conditions

·Operating boom and scissors lifts

·Documenting the installation via pictures andnotes

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

·Minimum 2 years of experience in low voltagecabling, security camera and access control repair and installation

·Proficiency with routing, terminating, powertools and properly dressing cables

·Ability to routinely lift, push, or pullpackages of up to 60lbs

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

·Ability to work off a step ladder, extensionladder, scissor, or boom lift

·Familiarity with state, city, town buildingstandards

·Familiarity with Axis, Milestone, Verkada andPolycom products is desirable, but not a must

·Basic understanding of computers and networking
