U.S. Got People is searching for PRN Radiologic Technologists to work at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. providing Primary Care services to active duty service members.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduation from an radiology technologist education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
• Possess a Certificate of Radiology (AART)
• Must have BLS
• 1 year of continuous experience after graduation

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

• Receive patients, schedule appointments, prepare and process examination requests and related records, file images, and process burning discs for patients when needed. Will enter and maintain data in radiology information system.
• Operate fixed and portable radiographic equipment to produce routine diagnostic medical imaging. Computes techniques and adjusts control panel settings such as kilo voltage, mill amperage, exposure time, and focal spot size.
• Position patient to image desired anatomic structures. Selects image recording media, adjusts table or cassette holder, aligns x-ray tube for correct distance and angle, and restricts radiation beam for maximum patient protection. Exposes and processes images.
• Select imaging protocols and required accessories and makes adjustments based on the specific examination requirements.
• Records and processes the image. Manipulate the recorded image using computer applications.
• Assist physician with fluoroscopic, interventional, and special examinations. Instruct patient preparing for procedures.
• Prepares and assists with contrast media administration. Maintain emergency response cart. Assist physician in treating reactions to contrast material. Prepare sterile supplies and equipment.
• Operate accessory equipment as directed.
