USfalcon is Hiring a Computer Maintenance Support Specialist 3 Near Colorado, CO

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Computer Maintenance Support Specialist 3 to work out of Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.

PAY: $105,000 - $110,000

JOB SUMMARY:

Installation of audiovisual systems – including VTCs, TVs, rack fabrication, site preparation, termination and calibration of audio and video equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with audio, video, switching and control systems. Conduct testing of AV cables and or equipment. Troubleshoot and repair high end computers and printers. Track all maintenance agreements, warranties and suggest new ones.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Maintenance, upgrade, and sustainment for the Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) architecture, communications infrastructure, computer (hardware/software), video wall, and system backbone.
  • Networked and stand-alone systems at the Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret-SCI classification levels and provides after hours/non-duty hours/on-call support as requested by the Government (approximately 9 system architectures, 50 servers, 1400 CPUs, 8 routers, 38 switches, 3 video walls, 2 large format plotters, and 12 desktop and room sized VTC systems.
  • Engineering, operations, management, maintenance, and general support for Local Area Networks (LANs), standalone systems, and any specialized systems within or used by the Government including any associated network/backbone/infrastructure hardware/software.
  • Review Communication System Requirement Documents (CSRDs) to provide network, computer system, financial, installation, outside agency coordination, and audio visual technical requirements.
  • Computer equipment troubleshooting to isolate faults, make repairs, and restore service to systems, and report the status of problem resolution to the affected customer and maintain a historical record of problem resolution; and, submit a trouble ticket report to the Communication Focal Point.
  • Computer equipment continuity documentation and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Disconnect, move, and connect equipment to networks; install, configure, and maintain these systems as well as analyze, troubleshot, and resolve software, hardware, and network anomalies; operate and maintain computer facilities, as well as all current USAFWC IT system hardware and software and any new hardware and software specified by the Government and added to the USAFWC networks during the course of the contract.
  • Coordinate warranty repair actions for equipment under warranty and perform application loading, troubleshooting, tuning, and technical support for hardware and software used within the USAFWC.
  • Assist with the packaging and shipping of computer, networking and AV equipment.
  • Maintain the expertise to provide centralized AV communication installation, routine support, and maintenance for USAFWC systems through continued education as a certified technology specialist.
  • Maintain the required Security certification through continuing security education, and professional security organization association.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years in troubleshooting and repairing HW, SW, and network operating problems.
  • Maintain the expertise to provide centralized AV communication installation, routine support, and maintenance for USAFWC systems through continued education as a certified technology specialist.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelors – IT, Computer Science, Engineering, additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education requirement
  • Current IAT Level 2 certification (Security )
