Postdoctoral Researcher in Plant Genomics

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team and lead research efforts in tropical fruit genomics.

Education: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/Plant genetics and genomics or closely related field.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct comprehensive analysis of genomic features and genetic diversity in tropical fruit germplasm collections.

· Develop and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and tools for analyzing large genomics datasets.

· Perform comparative genomics to identify genetic variations associated with important traits such as disease resistance and fruit quality.

· Explore population genetics and evolutionary dynamics to understand the origins and diversification of tropical fruits.

· Contribute towards the management of large genomics datasets.

· Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present results at scientific conferences.

Desired Skillset:

· Strong background in genomics and bioinformatics, with demonstrated experience in analyzing large-scale genomics datasets.

· Experience with bioinformatics tools and methods commonly used in plant genomics research.

· Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl.

· Strong communication and writing skills to lead research projects and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
