Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join the USANA database team as a database developer. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions. You will work closely with senior developers, data architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality database solutions that meet business requirements and technical standards.

What You Will Do as USANA’s Database Developer

• Develop and maintain complex triggers, functions, procedures, and packages for relational data models using PL/SQL and TSQL, showcasing your expertise in object development within the database environment
• Create and maintain automated tests to ensure the integrity and reliability of the database solutions
• Implementation of indexing techniques like BIT Map indexes and index organized tables
• Write dynamic SQL to place statements directly into SQL blocks
• Ongoing analysis, design, re-factoring, and tuning of the OLTP schema
• Participate in SQL code reviews

Background and Skills You Will Need

• 3-5 years of experience developing for Oracle and SQL Server databases using TSQL and PL/SQL
• 2 years of experience in the analysis, design, development, deployment, and tuning of large scale distributed, transactional e-commerce database applications
• Data partitioning techniques to manage, support, and performance tune very large databases (VLDBs)
• Manage NoSQL databases, including Couchbase, Redis, or Mongo
