Hotel / RV Resort Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor (NS-10)
Salary
$28.15 - $32.86 per hour
Supervise a small maintenance team in all areas of maintenance in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.

Duties
  • Plans, coordinates, and directs a variety of related work operations or functions.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting skills in all areas of maintenance in guest rooms, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
  • Monitor team member’s performance to include, but not limited to, quality control, providing supervision, providing professional development/training and delivering recognition and reward.
  • Assigns and explains work requirements and operating instructions to subordinate supervisors and sets deadlines. Maintains balanced workloads by shifting assignments, workers and other resources.
  • Determines equipment, supplies, and maintenance required. Assures arrival of supplies and equipment at work site as needed

Qualifications
  • Progressively responsible work experience in hospitality engineering and facilities maintenance performing leader or supervisory duties.
  • Must be well-organized with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Must have the ability to read blueprints and schematics; a strong working knowledge of all major building systems and tracking orders; Universal Refrigerants Certification; and a willingness to work different shifts as business dictates.
PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs may be authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move may in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
