Job Summary:

The Warehouse Technician I, is responsible for the day-to-day handling of the receiving, warehousing, packaging and distribution of finished products and materials in an accurate, safe and efficient manner. This position is an entry-level position, the employee will be doing the basics of shipping and packaging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely, accurate and efficient receiving, shipping, packaging and distribution of finished goods, raw materials and general business-related physical properties.
• Pick and pack orders of various sizes and groupings accurately with speed and precision.
• Precisely document, review, and ensure accuracy of outgoing orders.
• Always Safeguard sensitive customer and company information.
• Communicate clearly and courteously amongst the warehousing department and between sales, office, and general operations employees and management.
• Safely and properly arrange pallets and large materials with proper procedure and protocol.
• Ensure and arrange the proper handling, labeling, and transportation of finished goods to customers.
• Ensure and facilitate the proper handling, labeling, and transportation of goods, materials, and other business products between company sites.
• Maintains a clean and tidy work and warehouse environment.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience conducting operations of a shipping warehouse is preferred.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• This position requires no supervisory responsibilities.

Environment/Safety/ Work Environment:

• • Most of the time (90%) will be spent in the warehouse area, exposed to noise and the danger of being around machinery and equipment. The balance of the time may be spent in areas that are climate controlled.

Physical Demands:

• • Body Positions; Standing and sitting. The physical requirements involve standing ninety (90%) of the time and throughout the day, the stress of ensuring that proper quality, production and maintenance are carried out.

  • Standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, manual manipulation, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
