USA Industries is looking for a Manager of Information Technology (IT Manager) to join our team in our South Houston (77587) office. The Manager of Information Technology will act as the security guard for our system. This role maintains upgrades, maintenance, and any installations needed for our employees. The Manager of Information Technology will educate our employees and act as the first point of contact for support within the business for technical needs.

The Manager of Information Technology directs technology issues, data base administration, security, and training/orientation of employees within customer sales/service/manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong time-management skills and excellent communication skills, which enable him/her to work with various employees and leaders within the company. The Manager of Information Technology will own any/all technical problems and feel passionate about technology and helping others.

Responsibilities:

• To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime (both server and internet interface).
• Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades.
• Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management by performing capacity planning and assessment.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of MYSQL and EPICOR development.
• Continue to develop and update standalone programs such as ARM - USAI rental software, Isonas Security, Video Insight CCTV cameras and new programs as formulated.
• Facilitate through participation in EPICOR Vantage enterprise systems development of lifecycle and change management processes that will include interaction with project managers, analysts, shop personnel, engineers and other database administrators.
• Ability to troubleshoot and performance tune of slow running queries.
• Have familiarity with clustered server environments.
• Must understand and execute database maintenance and backup. Proven experience with disaster recovery tools such as replication and new features such as database mirroring. Must have DTS and SSIS Skills as well as some knowledge of scripting languages such as VBScript.
• Integrates Crystal reports into existing software programs.
• Candidate should have basic knowledge of how programming languages such as ASP and C #web services interact with SQL databases.
• Must be able to create and maintain indexes. Must understand log and data file concepts.
• Knowledge of 3^rd party web site hosting and Search Engine optimization software (search terms, meta tags, user sessions being used by target customer to find USAI.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in technology, computer science, MIS, or related field
• Prior Technical Support experience 
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, equipment, technology and other performance-monitoring tools
• Strong understanding of proactive customer service
