USA Health Systems is Hiring a Nurse Administrator- Nursing Services- Admin- Children's and Women's Near Mobile, AL

Responsibilities

Abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies and performs these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization’s values; adheres to hospital policies including those relating to confidentiality; provides support to Charge Nurses and unit staff; ensures resources are available for patient procedures, transports, and emergent events; assesses, coordinates, reassigns and supplements staffing according to established guidelines; responds to and coordinates medical code, fire, safety and disaster situations; implements or initiates disciplinary actions as appropriate; rounds on all areas of the hospital during shift; serves as a hospital liaison for a designated shift to outside agencies; communicates with the administrator on call as appropriate; maintains accurate and complete staffing records; completes administrator shift report; collaborates with other supervisors in providing staffing coverage and in bed management; participates in referrals when necessary for the Transfer Center; oversees bed management for the organization during assigned shift; understands and utilizes efficient bed management practices when overseeing capacity management for the organization; completes exposure protocols and drug screens during assigned shift; demonstrates CPR according to American Heart Association standards; communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families and healthcare team in person, via telephone, and in writing; participates on committees as assigned; participates in PI activities through PDSA processes as assigned; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required; related duties as required.

Qualifications

Completion of a BSN degree as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and USA Health, four years professional nursing experience and current Alabama RN license or Multi-State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama.  Note: USA Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama.
