USA CDL Recruiting is Hiring an Over the road driver Near Springfield, OH

Experience Requirement s

Minimum of 3 months experience in the last 36 months. The 3 months experience must be with no

more than two carriers, and driver can have no preventable CMV accidents during the 3 months

  • For drivers with less than 6 months of experience, the driver can have no preventable CMV roadway accidents.
  • At least 21 years old
  • 10-14 on the road and 2 day off
  • Pay is between .46-60 cpm depending on experience (2500 miles per week average)

Employment is conditional and dependent upon, including other factors, your successful completion of a DOT drug screen, DOT physical, road test, a physical standards test, and your successful completion of the company's orientation program.

Orientation - 3 days

You will take a prepaid bus to (Tunnel Hill, GA), (Springfield, Ohio), (Shippensburg, PA), or (Dallas, TX)

If you pay for your own travel (save your receipts and you will be reimbursed up to the cost of a bus ticket if you are hired.

Automatic DQs

  • No speeding in a school or construction zone in the last 6 months while holding a Class A CDL, Outside of 3 months if not holding a CDL
  • More than three moving violations in the past three years
  • More than two moving violation in the last 12 months
  • Any license suspensions in the last 12 months related to moving violations
  • Open container driver or passenger convictions in the last 3 years in a POV for both Experienced and Student Drivers
  • Fleeing or evading law enforcement while operating a CMV or while holding a Class A CDL - 3 years if holding CDL, 1 year if not holding CDL
  • Motor vehicle traffic control violation (other than parking violation) resulting in a fatality
  • RR Crossing violations in a CMV - 6 months if holding CDL, 3 months if not holding CDL
  • No Drivers under contract with another carrier
  • Failed / Refused drug screen in a lifetime
  • No conviction or violation for operating a POV while under the influence of alcohol (DUI / DWI) within the past 10 years if the offense occurred while the driver held a CDL-A or Commercial Learners Permit.
  • No conviction or violation for operating a POV while under the influence of alcohol (DUI / DWI) within the last 5 years if the offense occurred prior to the driver obtaining a CDL-A or Commercial Learners Permit.
  • No two or more convictions or violations for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol (DUI / DWI).
  • No convictions or violations for operating a CMV while under the influence of alcohol (DUI / DWI).
  • No refusal to take an alcohol test as required by a State or jurisdiction under its implied consent laws or regulations defined in FMCSR 383.72

Misdemeanors -

  • None within the last 3 years
  • Drug & theft charges must be outside of 5 years
  • All sex offenses must be approved by HR
  • No theft by check in the past 3 years
  • All domestic violence is case by case

Felonies

  • No felony for arson or theft in the last 10 years
  • No theft by check in the past 3 years
  • All sex offenses must be approved by HR
  • All domestic violence is case by case

Terminations

  • Drivers discharged for safety reasons by a prior employer require 6 months of verified subsequent safe driving in a CMV in order to be eligible for employment consideration.
  • If discharged from a non-driving job, U.S. Xpress will attempt to verify experience and will request a statement from the driver listing all jobs in the last 3 years.

The driver's statement will be used for eligibility if a previous employer fails to provide reasons for discharge.

Max amount of jobs

  • No more than 4 in the last year
  • No more than 6 in the last 2 years
  • No more than 8 in the last 3 years

Driving record

  • No Careless or Reckless driving in the last 12 months while holding a Class A CDL (POV or CMV)
  • No Careless or Reckless driving in the last 6 months while holding a regular license
  • No 15 MPH over in the last 12 months while holding a Class A CDL (POV or CMV)
  • No 15 MPH over in the last 6 months while holding a regular license
  • No Failure to obey has to be 12 months old while holding a Class A CDL (POV or CMV)
  • No Failure to obey has to be 6 months while holding a regular license
  • Leaving the scene of an accident must be outside of 2 years as long as the Driver did not hold a Class A CDL.
  • Improper or erratic lane change outside of 12 months while holding a Class A CDL (POV or CMV)
  • Improper or erratic lane change outside of 6 months while holding a regular license
  • No following too close within the past 12 months while holding a Class A CDL (POV or CMV)
  • No following too close within the past 6 months while holding a regular license

Tickets

No more than 4 in the past 36 months

Accidents

  • Minor Preventable CMV Accident Private Yard or Parking Lot - No more than 6 in last 3 years
  • Minor Preventable CMV Accident Roadway - No more than 4 in last 3 years
  • DOT Preventable Accident : No more than 2 in last 3 years
  • U-Turn Accident In A CMV : Requires 24 months of safe Driving
  • DOT-Recordable Accident (Preventable) : No more than 1 in last 12 months
  • Preventable or At-Fault with fatality (CMV or POV) : 5 years with safe driving record

Moving Violations

  • No more than 3 in the last 3 years
  • No more than 2 in the last 12 months
