Join our team. #CloroxIsThePlace Your role at Clorox: Understand how Processing performance is a reflection on your team and the plant and how that relates to company strategy. Ensures Tier 1 team meetings in the Processing Control room to share information – review activities, upcoming changeovers, information from shift exchange, status of losses / quality issues from previous shift, and any other information critical to employee safety and performance. In this role, you will: Coordinate Processing Activities Coordinate Safety walk-throughs to eliminate the presence of Slip, Trip or Fall hazards Ensure Workplace Organization is optimized Ensure members adhere to Safety Training Protocols and Programs Ensure PMs are assigned, completed, and performed at appropriate times Reinforce purpose is to “Drive out downtime” Ensure team is finding and documenting abnormalities Ensure operators remain in their Standard work areas to prevent unnecessary downtime Ensure Quality Checks a completed per requirement. Ensure When Up Do and Down Do activities assigned. Coordination of Downtime activities Ensure operator PMs are complete. Participate in Problem solving when available. Coordinate Changeover Preparation Lead Standard Work Processes Create work notification PMs are TECO’d by Operators Trained to check out parts in SAP from Parts room Call for Assistance – Escalation Plan Minor Stop Tracking Ensure ABEL tagging is correct. PM’s – Find and Fix abnormalities Ensure work notifications are entered in the system and tracked Quality Testing Housekeeping Audits performed Swift follow-up and overall WPO Initiate RFI Process when needed Review weekly Crewing and Production schedule with BULs to ensure line is capable Ensure environmental standards are being upheld (Shift Environmental Audit and Spill Reports) Shift exchange meeting ownership Details LEDs data Accuracy Handoff and Communication to team Ownership and reporting in 6:00am Tier 1 meetings. SAP Order confirmation Lead Problem solving to completion. Ensure Work Notifications are updated to reflect PM and Process Changes Work with Crew leads to identifying new tags for problem solving. Decision Making Delegate assigned tasks (understand what to delegate) Utilize “call for assistance” Troubleshooting Has been trained on use of TS Guide and scenario-based problems Ensure TS guides are used and updated in a timely manner Train Processors on the use of TS guides Coach Processing Operators Ensure calls for assistance are made promptly Understands when to make production recommendations based on quality or supply inputs that affect production. Able to use Process Book to Trouble shoot issues Coordinates and tracks Skill Block Training development. Ensures trainee is attaining specific skill blocks and Group Level Certifications Leads Training initiatives for Crewmembers to ensure they can maintain Processing internal and external areas without assistance Participates in performance evaluations with team and trainee Ensures Trainee checklist is completed Give performance feedback to underperforming operators and communicate with BUL Trainer is using training modules with supporting documentation and links to drive one-right-way Trainer ensures trainee is following road map that identifies skill block progression by week and is meeting adherence to schedule Review Processing Matrix to identify and minimize gaps. Inter-Personal Skill Development Time Management Owning staffing breaks and coverage for crew Ensures Operators are applying proper time management skills throughout shift (No Group congregations in the Control Room, Sitting in Quality Lab doing nothing, etc.) Making Effective Decisions Ensure ER issues are brought up to plant leadership Own Communication of plant activities, targets, and events to their team Managing Conflict, Coaching Others/Providing Feedback, Building Trust, Communicating and Listening Starting Compensation: $27.48 per hour What we look for: Skills and knowledge will be determined by means of hands-on demonstration and a formal interview. Strong commitment to the plant non-negotiables Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to respond appropriately to salary and hourly personnel Demonstrate ability to organize work area to 5S standards Must have or develop a high level of understanding of Progressive Maintenance Basic computer skills Ability to travel as required for training and development Must be capable of working all areas of the Processing department and/or knowledge of Theory of Operations Proficient in SAP Ability to perform routine maintenance Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Tools and process Ability to properly tag events in LEDs At least 18 years old Eligible for legal employment in the US High school diploma or equivalent One year of manufacturing experience required.
