Your role at Clorox: The Maintenance & Reliability Department is seeking a qualified candidate for Maintenance Planner at our Atlanta Main facility. The individual will be responsible for coordinating maintenance functions for assigned areas to maximize the usefulness, efficiency, effectiveness and life expectancy of plant assets. The individual in this position may be called upon to work on special assignments and help to drive a zero-loss culture. This individual must be a self-starter, effectively influence peers, and have demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills. In this role, you will: Planners are expected to continually refine and develop their skills in planning work, which is a specialized task and needs to be supported by continual association with other planners. Planners are focused on work that has not commenced – it is their responsibility that future work will have detailed information provided in a way that maximizes the likelihood it will be effective and the trades people will be efficient in conducting the work. Planners have expertise in SAP that will ensure work is precisely identified in terms of equipment to be worked upon, parts, tools and resources to be used, and what is to be done. They are also obliged to ensure that stored information is effectively used to optimize the proposed work approach for each work order. Planners are required to ensure non-urgent work is not released to maintenance teams unless there is confidence in the planned approach to the work, and the resource and time estimates needed to accomplish this plan. Where planners do not understand how the job can be done, then they are required to seek expert advice to inform them on what represents the best possible plan to do the work. The plans provided by planners fully specify what must to be done in each job, with sufficient clarity that the tradesperson can then apply their trades’ knowledge to understand how to do what has been specified. Planners will work with maintenance trades personnel to continually improve specifications of work leading to clarity and effectiveness in the plans. The planners will either directly measure or use corporate reporting systems to continually ascertain that their planning is improving the efficiency of the tradespeople who execute the work. Planners are obliged to inform stake holders where planning can be improved to further assist trades people Manages preventive maintenance task lists and plans. Generates list of preventive work due each week. Manages plant master data for SAP (equipment, parts, PMs, and personnel records). Reviews work requests (notifications) and creates work orders, plans work (details what is to be done, parts, labor hours, skills, # of people needed, downtime expected, special tools required, and procedures applicable.) Schedules work based on work priority, equipment availability, and available personnel. Maintains accuracy of equipment BOMs. Facilitates weekly maintenance scheduling meeting for given area and posts maintenance work schedule following the meeting. Coordinates investigation of breakdowns to identify needed action to prevent repetition. Reviews equipment history for failures and emergency repairs with concerned parties and modifies PM procedures as needed. Provides input into spare part stocking decisions based on usage, criticality, risk, cost and operating maintenance budget planning. Follow-up on jobs to check planning and scheduling accuracy. Typically, a maintenance planner will impact the efficiency of approximately 24 other technical resources and influence the spending of approximately 1.2 million dollars per year of MRO parts. Hourly Compensation: $31.95 per hour What we look for: Experience with SAP. 5 years of manufacturing experience. 3 years of maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of packaging and process equipment. High school diploma or GED. Strong maintenance/technical background Strong organizational and planning skills Strong analytical / decision-making skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities Strong computer skills with SAP, and Microsoft Office Detail-oriented, willingness to learn, creativity, and sense of urgency Be below the written reminder step in attendance and/or work performance Strong commitment to plant’s non-negotiables ,OGSM, WCO principles, MVP, and company’s core values Ability to operate fax machines, copiers, as well as voice mail and e-mail system 8-hour shift needed to support operations; flexibility required for off-shifts and some weekends may be included.
