Ketjen Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Albemarle Corporation, is currently seeking a highly motivated and customer service-oriented Services Lab Technician with proven experience in inventory/database management, sample preparation, shipment processing, and maintaining safe lab operations. Responsibilities: Provide timely information and updates to GTS representatives, Technical Sales representatives, and Business specialists regarding all efforts related to sample dispatch accuracy, progress, and on-time delivery. Plan, manage, and coordinate the processing of Shipment Dispatch Requests (SDRs) and Standard Drum Acquisition Requests (SDARs) to ensure deadlines are met. Maintain databases, dashboards, and Sharepoint sites with accurate information regarding SDRs, SDARs, Standard Drum Inventory, and other related Service’s work. Accurately prepare samples to the specifications laid out in each request. Must demonstrate attention to detail when performing blend calculations and preparing blends. Must be able to troubleshoot blend errors. Provide timely communication of data and issues for SDRs and SDARs, emphasizing attention to detail. Regularly maintain the Standard Drum Inventory in the Warehouse and Services’ lab by palletizing drums/containers and updating sample content quantities. Monitor and maintain Services’ equipment and work areas for safe operations and execute tasks safely. Create documentation to transfer knowledge during absences. Quickly learn new skills, such as data release from Ecat program and workflow improvements. Assist Market Support team in various projects. Deploy samples to labs, maintain databases, and prepare reports in for Customer Service Requests (CSRs). Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and technical personnel in small and large groups. Accountabilities: Ensure safe laboratory operations, including material handling, equipment maintenance, and general laboratory activities. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines with proactive problem-solving. Successfully complete assigned tasks. Demonstrate excellent customer skills, including effective communication, problem-solving, active listening, and delivering on promises. Required Qualifications: BS or Associate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain and Engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience. Strong customer service skills and problem-solving abilities. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
