Reimagine What’s Possible POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Line Manager – Industrial Gas (IG) Americas West Gulf Coast HyCO sub-region. This individual has full production accountabilities for this sub-region. This individual is accountable for maximizing asset utilization, cost minimization and performance improvement for the sub-region. The incumbent directs, monitors, and controls the operation and maintenance of all production units (HyCO) in the given geographic region to safely, efficiently, and reliably meet customer requirements. The incumbent continually interfaces with the sub-region General Manager, Business Manager, and Americas Operations Technical Director to optimize services and profits for on-site customers and our liquid bulk business. The Operations (Line) Manager directs the maintenance activities, plant operation, and installations to minimize downtime and ensure customer requirements. During periods of crisis, the incumbent is required to respond immediately to provide the management overview to plan, organize, and execute proper remedial action; because of the incumbent’s knowledge of technical and operational issues, this role is the key focal point for senior leadership and the executing team to re-establish production and/or avoid customer interruptions. The successful candidate has the primary responsibility for the safety of all personnel in their organization. He/she is responsible for always administering and ensuring compliance of established safety procedures. He/she must establish an atmosphere of safety and motivate personnel to remain focused on safety. The position sets the safety goals and ensures safety awards are performed, hazard identification processes are instituted, and initiates proper strategic action items to enhance the overall safety performance. The position evaluates and approves the use of capital funds for facilities and equipment; sets the goals and direction for productivity and efficiency improvements; establishes systems for cost control, establishes manpower levels, and sets objectives for improved utilization of manpower. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Administer EH&S standards to ensure the protection of employees, contractors, the community, and the environment. Act as key senior leader of sub-region, partnering with the General Manager and Business Manager to drive profitability and asset optimization within full geography. Direct and monitor plant production to efficiently meet customer requirements. Provide operational leadership for the sub-region and identify cost reduction opportunities and manage productivity programs and plans that effectively reduce spend in the operations cost stack. Organize and control maintenance functions to optimize cost and reliability. Provide operational input to engineering estimate design; as end of life and overall reliability assessments are conducted throughout the region, the continual refurbishment and maintenance of the sub-region’s assets and equipment are critical for optimized performance. Provide operational leadership for growth capacity and sub-region’s merger and acquisitions activity, including buybacks.
