Here’s the Gist: Wolfspeed’s NC Fab Team is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer for the Metrology area. This person will be responsible for performing equipment start-up, modifications, upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance on production and R&D systems. This role will interact directly with process engineering, R&D, field service engineers and other groups to meet Wolfspeed goals. This person will be responsible for a diverse mixture of activities with a strong emphasis on hands-on mechanical assembly and electrical work. This is an 8-hour day, 5 day a week position, working one weekend day. The Day-to-Day: Responsible for sustaining engineering and continuous improvement initiatives on high volume semiconductor manufacturing tools. Create and maintain PM and maintenance procedures, training materials and technician qualification procedures Interface with Process Engineering, Manufacturing and Management to improve tool availability, wafer throughput, process/product yield, and drive scrap and maintenance cost reductions Mentor technical maintenance staff on advanced troubleshooting techniques Provide top level support of extended or chronic tool down issues Drive innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements): BS in a technical field 5 years of semiconductor Equipment Engineering experience Strong background in equipment maintenance or engineering with experience in photolithography and/or metrology This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
