Looking for community? There are many ways to get involved, from Employee Resource Groups to local outreach. Here’s the Gist: Wolfspeed’s NC Fab Team is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician. This person will be responsible for performing proactive maintenance on production and R&D systems. This role will interact directly with equipment engineering, process engineering, and other groups to meet Wolfspeed goals. This person will be responsible for a diverse mixture of activities with a strong emphasis on hands-on mechanical assembly, high-vacuum systems and electrical work. These positions are on Front-End or Back-End work schedules The Day-to-Day: Perform routine preventive maintenance on tools in accordance with equipment specifications. Maintain detailed records of any maintenance performed through the use of paper and electronic checklists. Disassemble and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc. Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment checks. Consistently perform repeatable tasks to improve up-time or overall equipment performance (as needed), including changing filters, o-rings/seals, shielding and other consumables. This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements): High school education or GED; Technician Certification Program preferred Working familiarity of electrical systems with the ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, and maintenance manuals Mechanical aptitude - because of the uniqueness of the equipment, you will not possess prior experience on these tools Good manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude Must be physically able to lift to waist level and carry up to 40 pounds Must be physically able to climb, stoop, bend, kneel, and crawl to reach work This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
