Job Responsibilities:
- Create and update CAD models of soft wearable devices in Siemens NX and Team Center PLM
- Work with the internal model shop and external suppliers to manufacture parts
- Assemble prototypes of soft wearable electronic devices
- Design and build prototypes to the appropriate level of fidelity, considering product requirements goals, and constraints with an outlook on how prototyping decisions translate into production
- Effectively employ computer aided design (CAD), sketching, and prototyping to clearly communicate design ideas and concept directions
- Drive large scale integrated project work and establish achievable schedule and interim milestones for team members to deliver against project requirements
- Communicate constraints, progress, and other critical project information to partner teams
Skills
- Skilled with 3D CAD drawing tools, such as SolidWorks, NX, and 3D Finite Element Analysis tools such as Ansys, Abaqus or Comsol.
- Experienced with hardware prototype build.
Education:
- Candidates to have a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
