Job Summary: The Production Operator performs basic functions to operate various machines and equipment. An operator may unload raw materials, prepare a test run to ensure a machine is working properly, inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities: - None.

Duties and Responsibilities: When required will include, but not limited to:

• Accurately load, run, and unload various production machines; i.e. CNC, drill press, tapper, press
• Follow drawing and standard work instructions
• Clean / Prep parts for machining
• Clean / Stack parts after machining
• Measures parts using micrometer, calibers, height, go-no go gauges
• Input measurement data into computer
• Clear jams and performs basic troubleshooting
• Meet quality standards & production goals while performing defined work process
• Check coolant and oil levels
• Maintains a clean and safe work area,
• Clean chips from machine, disposing of excess materials
• Complies with applicable safety standards, regulations and PPE requirements.
• Report all safety, production, machine, and quality issues to supervisor

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to use / read micrometer, calibers, height, go-no go gauges

· Able to determine simple machine adjustments (offsets) from measurements

· Able to use computer to record measurement data

· Good time management skills with ability to meet deadlines

· Must be able to work as part of a team and be a productive team member

· Must be able to wear PPE

• Ability to learn other machines used in production / assembly

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent desirable

· 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
