Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. We are looking for a few LPN's for 3-11 weekday shifts. We are alosi looking for LPN's for All Shifts on the weekends. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of our patients while adhering to medical protocols and standards.
Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Provide wound care, including dressing changes and monitoring healing progress
- Perform basic nursing procedures such as catheter care, IV infusion, and specimen collection
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems
- Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in [state]
- Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and practices
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing various nursing procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, and electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to lift and move patients safely when necessary
- Prior experience in internal medicine, pediatrics, or a similar setting is preferred
