Biomedical Equipment Technician I

Job Description

Maintain medical equipment by performing necessary repair, periodic maintenance, and operational verification procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

Must have the ability to work as a team member and to provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers.

Performs assigned planned maintenance under close supervision by the Team Lead or an experienced BMET.

Performs duties assigned by Team Lead based on Weekly Hot List, projects, and internal requests.

Assists experienced BMETs with testing and calibration of equipment according to manufacturers recommendations and other established guidelines.

Makes decisions based on clear instructions and operational rules and procedures. Refers more difficult decisions to higher level for advice.

Reporting Relationship:

Reports to, supervised by and receives assignments from a Biomedical Team Lead.

Qualifications


Education Requirement:

Associates degree in biomedical equipment technology or electronics or equivalent training and experience required.

Work Experience Required

0-2 years of industry experience.
